A davit and tieback socket pedestal is mounted on a three-quarter-inch by twelve-inch square minimum base plate welded with a three-eighths-inch fillet weld to the structural steel framing. The socket pedestal ties into a supporting beam and column sized per plan. Structural steel angles measuring eight by four by one-half inches with long legs vertical brace the assembly, featuring one-to-one slope configurations and minimum two-inch clearances. The assembly includes welded connections specified at three-eighths of an inch. Base plate sizes are increased as required by structural loads.
