Metal stud framing bears on a continuous track anchored directly to a concrete slab or curb. The continuous track matches the stud size and gauge, featuring a one and one-half inch flange. One-quarter inch diameter concrete screws with a one and eighteen-hundredths inch effective embedment secure the track at eighteen inches on center, maintaining a three-inch minimum edge distance. Number ten screws fasten each side of the track to each vertical stud.
