Plywood sheathing is secured with 4x nailers fastened using 7/8-inch diameter wood screws at 12 inches on center and two rows of toenails. Steel bar joists and steel beams support the platform, with angle braces sized 3x3x1/4 at 10 feet on center typical. Angle braces connect to the steel beam with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds and to the lower support point with one-quarter inch fillet welds. Notes require angle braces to be welded to the beam after roof installation, coordinated with sprinkler pipes, and located within 6 inches of top chord panel points unless an auxiliary web is installed.
