This assembly utilizes an L5x5x3/8 structural steel angle to brace a tilt-up concrete panel against an 8-inch concrete masonry unit wall. The angle is secured to the tilt-up panel using a 1/2-inch steel plate anchored with two 5/8-inch diameter threaded rods set in an adhesive anchoring system with a minimum 3 1/2-inch embedment. A matching 1/2-inch plate and adhesive anchor configuration secures the brace to the 8-inch deep CMU bond beam. The masonry wall features two number 5 continuous reinforcing bars within the bond beam and number 5 vertical reinforcing bars spaced at 48 inches on center, with all reinforced cells grouted solid. Nine-gauge bed joint reinforcement is provided at 16-inch vertical spacing throughout the wall.
