The concrete slab receives a bottom track anchored with 3/8-inch diameter Hilti KB-TZ anchors spaced at 24 inches on center, secured by number 8 sheet metal screws at each stud flange. An alternative connection detail utilizes a continuous 1/4-inch bent plate featuring 1-inch vertical slotted holes at screw locations, connected via Simpson FCB45.5 clips at each stud with nine number 12 sheet metal screws. Number 12 sheet metal screws fasten the track to the flange typically, with a maximum stud spacing height of 3 feet 6 inches.
