A structural steel beam connects to a steel column using top and bottom plates welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. The steel beam features horizontal short slotted holes to accommodate movement. Two three-quarter-inch A307 through bolts secure the connection through the slotted web. All structural steel elements are galvanized.
