A C12x20.7 or equivalent channel acts as the stair stringer, supporting welded L 2x2x1/8 angles beneath each tread. A twelve-gauge galvanized metal pan is welded to the stringers and filled with a two-inch concrete tread featuring a non-skid finish. Code-compliant railings are welded directly to the stair stringer as specified by architectural documents. Fillet welds of 1/8-inch size are applied typically to secure the assembly components.
