Steel beam-to-column connection configurations comprise a beam framing into a wide-flange column flange with continuity plates, an HSS beam framing to a wide-flange column, and a wide-flange or channel beam framing to an HSS column with a cap plate. The assemblies utilize bolted shear tabs and welded cap plates designed according to specified flange thicknesses. Continuity plates are sized using the larger of the connecting flange thicknesses plus required clearances. Standard fillet welds and moment connections are indicated with specific size callouts and notes for field assembly.
