This structural connection detail joins hollow structural sections sized per plan to structural channels sized per plan with complete joint penetration welds typically throughout. A one-inch thick doubler plate is positioned between the channels as indicated typically on the drawing. Centerlines align the vertical channel support with the horizontal hollow structural section canopy framing members.
