A hollow structural section column sits on a nineteen millimeter thick base plate complete with two sixteen millimeter diameter Hilti KH-EZ concrete anchor bolts per side. Four nine point five by one hundred by fifty millimeter high stiffener plates are welded to the inside faces on four sides with six millimeter fillet welds. The column is secured with field welds specified at six millimeters on one side only. The concrete substrate is detailed with typical forty millimeter edge distances.
