Steel beams frame into the flange of a column using a bolted single plate shear connection with sizing determined by project specifications. The shear tab thickness equals the beam web thickness plus one-quarter inch, fastened with specified bolt sizes and quantities arranged in single or dual rows. Continuity plates match the top and bottom flanges using the larger thickness value between TF1 and TF2.
