A sloping hollow structural section (HSS) 6x6 member frames into the intersection of a vertical hollow structural section 10x4 column and horizontal hollow structural section 10x4 beam at a work point (WP). The top of the sloping HSS 6x6 is coped as required to fit against the underside of the horizontal HSS beam. A one-quarter inch fillet weld connects the coped HSS to the adjacent structural members. Additional connection information is referenced to typical detail S590.
