A buckling-restrained brace and gusset plate connection frames into a steel column and steel beam intersection. The buckling-restrained brace and gusset plate connections are provided by the supplier as indicated on the plan. Web stiffeners match the beam flange thickness and are joined with complete joint penetration welds typically. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds are applied to three sides at the connection. The steel column and steel beam sizes are sized per plan.
