A concrete housekeeping pad with a maximum thickness of 8 inches bears on an existing slab on grade, requiring coordination with mechanical locations and extents. The pad is reinforced with number 4 reinforcing bars spaced at 16 inches on center each way. Reinforcement at the perimeter of the pad features a 2 1/2 inch embedment set with adhesive. Typical lap splices are provided for the reinforcing bars.
