A steel girder connection frames into a reinforced concrete return panel. A knife plate connects to the girder top chord via a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. A plate measuring seven-eighths by seven inches is detailed with two number six A706 bars five feet long on alternate sides to lap with the chord steel. Additional support incorporates two number five A706 chord bars and a hollow structural section member detailed per plan.
