This structural steel connection details a beam framing into a column flange using a single plate shear tab. The shear tab is welded to the column flange with a fillet weld sized per schedule plus one sixteenth of an inch. The beam web bolts to the shear tab with the number and size of bolts in the first row determined by note two and any additional bolts in the second row sized per plan. The top of steel alignment is marked relative to the framing.
