A buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel column flange and steel beam intersection below a roof deck with metal decking. Stiffener plates are welded to the steel column and steel beam as required by the manufacturer on the near side and far side. A work point is established at the intersection of the framing members for alignment of the brace.
