A wide flange frame beam connects to a wide flange column utilizing a bolted shear tab and gusset plate assembly. Stiffener plates are welded to the top and bottom of the gusset plate on each side, with thicknesses matching the frame beam flanges and joined with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides. Continuity plates align with the beam flanges across the column web, with thicknesses matching the stiffener plates. A continuous buckling-restrained brace gusset plate extends through the assembly, detailed per the manufacturer specifications and approved shop drawings. One-inch-diameter high-strength bolts fasten the connection with quantities sized per the collector connection schedule.
