A reinforced concrete grade beam supports a slab on grade with longitudinal top and bottom reinforcing bars, supplemented by top added and bottom added bars. Stirrups enclose the main reinforcement, with number 5 bars provided each face for depths greater than thirty inches. Two number four dowels spaced at sixteen inches on center with one foot eight inches of embedment tie the grade beam into the slab. Width and depth dimensions are sized per schedule.
