A steel column transfers loads through a steel base plate set on two inches of non-shrink grout over a reinforced concrete footing. Anchor bolts extend one foot six inches into the concrete footing with a ten inch minimum projection and feature two heavy hex nuts with one-inch by three-and-a-half-inch square plate washers on each bolt. Anchorage reinforcement includes number six C-bars placed within the thickened footing. A concrete slab-on-grade abuts the column base with a concrete pour back.
