Copper piping transitions across a structural expansion joint using either a manufactured expansion fitting or a standard formed loop. The top assembly incorporates a flexible or slip-type fitting connected with flanged ends, bridged across the joint by an electrical wire bonding strap or number 6 copper wire. The bottom assembly shows a standard pipe loop dimensioned with depth X and width Y. Both configurations accommodate differential movement in copper piping networks.
