A spreader beam connects to a concrete slab edge using an embed plate and paired side plates. The embed plate measures 1/2 inch by 12 inches by the slab depth and includes four 1/2-inch diameter by 5-inch welded headed studs. The spreader beam aligns with two 3/8-inch by 4-inch side plates spanning the beam depth, fastened by two 3/4-inch diameter through bolts. Additional reinforcement consists of two number 4 top and bottom bars measuring 48 inches in length. A 1/2-inch maximum gap and 1/2-inch maximum incision are maintained at the concrete face per plan specifications.
