An L4x4x1/4 by one-foot-three-inch structural steel angle connects the concrete slab or beam using two 5/8-inch diameter expansion anchors with a four-inch embedment spaced at twelve inches on center. A typical top of wall gap is maintained between the top of the bond beam and the underside of the concrete slab or beam. A minimum six-inch dimension is maintained to the concrete edge. This detail is not to be used at post-tensioned slabs.
