A buckling restrained brace single tube collar assembly connects below a wide flange beam sized per plan. The connection centers on a work point with diagonal brace axes intersecting at the node. A shaded restriction zone indicates areas where welded, bolted, screwed, or shot-in attachments for non-structural elements are strictly prohibited by building code. Any alternative connections to the brace require explicit approval from the engineer of record and the buckling restrained brace manufacturer. A typical four and one-half inch dimension is maintained at both ends of the buckling restrained brace assembly.
