A concrete housekeeping pad and a concrete curb are cast over a concrete slab with a four-inch minimum thickness. The housekeeping pad is reinforced with number four bars at twelve inches on center each way, along with anchorages per plan and continuous number four bars. Dowels include number four dowels with standard hooks at eighteen inches on center or number three drilled and epoxy dowels at twelve inches on center. The concrete curb features an optional construction joint location, a three-quarter-inch chamfer unless noted otherwise, and perimeter number three dowels at twelve inches on center. Minimum edge distances and hook extensions down to the bottom of the slab with minimum clear cover are specified for proper load transfer.
