A concrete elevator pit wall and slab-on-grade intersection incorporates an embedded angle bracket. A structural steel angle measuring L8x4x1/2 by 10 inches long anchors into the top of the concrete wall using two three-quarter-inch by six-inch heavy stud anchors at five-inch gauge and two half-inch diameter by six-inch deformed bar anchors at nine-inch gauge. The concrete wall contains vertical and horizontal reinforcing steel with dowels matching the vertical wall reinforcement above. The concrete slab on grade ties into the wall assembly with number four reinforcing bars spaced at sixteen inches on center. The foundation footing below incorporates number five reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center each way at the top and bottom with a three-inch minimum cover.
