Two 1-1/4 inch Grade 50 flange plates match the beam flange thickness and connect to the column stub using complete joint penetration welds. Stiffener plates extend to the end of the flange plates and are welded with complete joint penetration welds. The beam connection is detailed per sheet S5-103 for moment conditions and sheet S5-101 for typical beam conditions as shown on the roof framing plan.
