A davit socket pedestal sits atop a base plate welded to the structural framing at a corner column. A beam sized per plan connects to the column using a bolted shear tab and an L8x4x1/2 angle with long legs vertical. A three-eighths inch fillet weld secures the pedestal base plate to the structural support.
