About this detail

Continuous 3x3x1/4-inch steel curb angles and platform edge angles frame the concrete loading dock pit, with all curb angle joints securely welded and maintained at ninety-degree angles to each other. The rear pit wall is installed plumb with a permissible one-quarter-inch reverse slope, and the pit floor is sloped per manufacturer recommendations. Electrical routing includes a three-quarter-inch conduit with a six-inch stub-out and a four-by-four-by-two-inch junction box mounted on center, feeding a dock leveler control box measuring two-and-a-half by two by two inches. Dock bumpers are installed at the platform edges per specifications.
