Two adjacent structural panels are tied together using embedded steel plates and reinforcing dowels. A three-quarter-inch by one-and-a-half-inch by one-foot-four-inch steel plate spans the joint, flanked by half-inch by one-foot plates. Two number eight reinforcing bars measuring four feet long are embedded in each side as typical dowels. Fillet welds connect the plate assemblies on each side. A block-out is provided for field patching around the connection assembly.
