Metal deck panels bear on a wide flange beam per plan with optional shear studs or deck support attachments. Filler plates of fifty-four mil minimum thickness are provided where required beneath the deck, secured with one-eighth inch fillet welds at twelve inches on center typically. Closure plates of thirty-three mil minimum are placed at each end with cut and bend high flutes along the beam length. Z-shape plates of fifty-four mil minimum with three-inch flanges are detailed at transitions within three inches of support. Alternate deck attachment uses number fourteen sheet metal screws at twelve inches on center matching the deck section.
