An HSS or wide-flange frame column sits atop a base plate sized per the structural schedule, secured by anchor rods with grade 50 plate washers. A gusset plate connects where shown on the plan. The anchor rod maintains a minimum one and a half inch edge distance to the column and a four inch minimum edge distance to the edge of the base plate unless noted otherwise.
