A perimeter bent plate is centered on the hollow structural section beam with a three-eighths by twelve-inch plate welded using five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. The assembly maintains a one-foot two-and-three-quarter-inch dimension to the face of finish, with a three-inch offset at the perimeter bent plate. Additional one-quarter-inch and five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the structural steel components together.
