A structural steel ledger angle connects to a concrete wall via embedded plates and headed shear studs. Two configurations show deck framing perpendicular and parallel to the ledger angle. The connection utilizes L4x4x3/8 and L6x4x3/8 ledger angles welded to embed plates with top and bottom fillet welds. Embed plates measure 1/2 inch by 4 inches by 6 inches or 8 inches long, spaced at 48 inches on center, and are anchored with three-quarter-inch diameter by 8-inch long studs. Additional reinforcing steel is placed in the concrete wall around the embeds.
