A glulam truss ridge connection incorporates a one-half-inch steel plate sandwiched between the top chord and web elements. The assembly is fastened on each side of the connection with twelve five-eighth-inch diameter by eight-inch drift bolts at the top chord and eight five-eighth-inch diameter by eight-inch drift bolts at the web. Bolt holes in the glulam members are sized one-thirty-second inch smaller in diameter than the drift bolts, while holes in the steel plate are sized one-thirty-second inch greater. A three-inch notch is detailed at the top of the truss chord for electrical routing.
