Two number four by four-foot reinforcing bars are placed at each corner of a depressed concrete slab where control and construction joints do not extend from the corner. Additional two number four by four-foot bars are provided where control and construction joints intersect but do not continue beyond the intersection. A steel column location is coordinated per plan and schedule relative to the slab joints.
