An isometric view of the bottom track assembly at a wall end or door opening, utilizing cold-formed steel framing. King studs or end studs are positioned per the schedule, shown here as back-to-back studs or boxed studs where required. A one-foot section of stud is added at discontinuous track conditions, secured with four number ten screws on each side. The bottom track is fastened to the studs with number ten sheet metal screws at each flange. Additional fasteners are placed per the schedule as close to the web of the king or end studs as practicable, with edge conditions detailed elsewhere.
