Additional C8x11.5 sub-framing is provided around large deck openings to suit layout subject to review and approval by the engineer. A channel or beam is positioned below per typical large opening requirements around the perimeter. The channel is omitted if dimension B is less than 12 inches, in which case the assembly is considered as one large opening.
