A steel column connects to a supporting steel beam via a three-quarter-inch steel base plate secured with four seven-eighth-inch diameter A325 bolts. A full-depth connection plate or beam web stiffener is provided at each side. The assembly frames into a concrete over metal floor deck, which serves as a roof deck at similar conditions.
