A three-quarter-inch diameter rod with a number 2-one-half clevis and three-quarter-inch pin attaches to a three-eighth-inch plate welded to the top of a hollow structural section beam. A five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld secures the plate to the beam. A bent plate attaches to the back face with an eighth-inch bottom-of-deck clearance, and a plate is provided on each side for attachment to the hollow structural section beam and perimeter bent plate. At similar conditions, a plate is provided on the near-side only.
