A structural steel beam connects to a supporting steel member reinforced with a one-quarter-inch stiffener plate. A concrete slab poured over a profiled steel deck bears across the top flange of the framing. Headed stud anchors welded through the deck secure the composite concrete topping to the structural steel below.
