Steel column web fitted with stiffener plates on each side sized to match the drag plate size, featuring a single cap plate at the roof level. The connection includes a drag plate sized per plan welded with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds on three sides of each plate. At the roof condition, a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the assembly. Topping and finish materials are provided per architectural specifications.
