A concrete housekeeping pad is placed over a concrete slab thickened as required, with the interface roughened to one-quarter inch amplitude. The main slab contains typical reinforcement and a continuous number four rebar with three inches of embedment at adhesive anchors. The housekeeping pad incorporates number four rebar at sixteen inches on center each way at mid-depth, with perimeter adhesive anchors spaced at twenty-four inches on center as required. Equipment anchorage bolts are coordinated with the equipment layout to a maximum span of ten feet. Optional number four bars at twenty-four inches on center are provided in lieu of adhesive anchors at the contractor's option.
