The assembly features a hollow structural section (HSS) or wide flange (WF) column welded to a 3/4-inch base plate, which is bolted to the top flange of a structural steel beam using four 3/4-inch diameter A325N bolts. Full-depth 3/8-inch stiffener plates are provided on each side of the beam web, aligned with the column to transfer loads efficiently. The drawing includes both a plan view and an elevation view showing dimensions, grid alignment, and weld callouts.
