This structural detail shows a glazing girt connection at the sill, framing into hollow structural section members. A quarter-inch cap plate is welded to the hollow structural section with a quarter-inch fillet weld. The girts are extended as necessary to catch the hollow structural section girt base plate above. Additional girts are placed per elevation and aligned with working points.
