The detail shows concrete slabs on grade bearing adjacent to a concrete wall with several conditions including a standard adjacent slab, a recessed wall condition, and a recessed wall condition at a door. The concrete wall supports the slab on grade where thickness varies with a minimum dimension of two times the thickness or ten inches. Slab dowels consisting of number four bars at twenty-four inches on center tie the slab to the wall, supplemented by continuous horizontal number four reinforcing bars. The cold joint between the concrete wall and the slab requires a roughened surface to a quarter-inch amplitude. Joint locations coordinate with architectural drawings, maintaining a two-inch minimum typical clearance.
