Shear connector plate and clip angle connections join steel beams framing into structural columns at skewed angles. Three distinct conditions accommodate skews up to thirty degrees, over thirty to forty-five degrees, and over forty-five to sixty degrees utilizing bevel backing bars and specified clearances. Clip angles are provided on both near and far sides with standard bolt spacings and required beam copes. A separate elevation details the beam to hollow structural section clip angle connection with symmetrical framing conditions.
