An ASTM A572 Grade 50 steel plate measuring 3/4 inch by 20 inches by 7 1/2 inches rests on a 1-inch drypack grout pad and is anchored with two 3/4-inch diameter Hilti KB-TZ expansion anchors with a 3 3/4-inch embedment. Continuous number 4 reinforcing bars run along the edge and at 12 inches on center. A wide-flange beam per plan frames into the assembly, supported by an angle on each side connected with two 3/4-inch diameter bolts. A diagonal brace consisting of an L3x3x5/16 angle connects using a 3/8-inch plate and fillet welds sized at 1/4 inch. A single 7/8-inch diameter ASTM A307 through-bolt with a washer is centered in a vertical slot, hand-tightened with the bolt threads spoiled.
