A reinforced concrete curb separates a vehicle ramp and an ADA pedestrian ramp with a 6-inch minimum height maintained above the higher side. A steel pipe handrail is anchored into the concrete curb through a two-inch diameter pipe sleeve, with a three-by-three-by-one-quarter-inch steel plate welded to the sleeve. The concrete curb is reinforced with two continuous number five bars near the top and number four bars spaced at eighteen inches on center vertically. The adjoining concrete slabs are reinforced with continuous number four bars at twelve inches on center.
