This connection utilizes a pair of 3-inch by 3-inch by 1/4-inch long-leg angles bolted to the web of a wide flange beam. The HSS beam is secured to these angles using two 3/4-inch diameter machine bolts spaced at 3 inches on center. The HSS columns are welded to the top flange of the HSS beam with 1/4-inch fillet welds. The wide flange beam is sized per plan and serves as the primary support for the HSS beam assembly.
